quick flea market tour

I briefly stopped by the flea market by the Port Authority and my heart skipped a little faster when I came across this beautiful wood set type. If I can come across some cheap one on ebay then I will definitely get it, but I didn't bother asking the guy the price when he told another person that the type goes upto $20. I presumed that was for the large letters.
So instead I got some snapshots, before he told me not to take photos. Realistically he had no authority, as I wasn't on his private property, like in a store, but I stopped. Wouldn't want to get an old man angry now would I.

I also came across this IKEA dresser, which was falling apart on the side. There seems to be an entire IKEA collection on craigslist, so I can only imagine that someone really clueless would even consider buying that piece.

another chair

Every chair that I find, that I really like, is completely out of the price range. Like this one from Neiman Marcus

chairs chairs chairs

The search for the right chairs continues. There are a lot of inspirational photos that I come across. Finding a reasonably priced chair in the right style is a different matter.

I think these chairs would go perfectly with my farm table.

The chairs don't really do it for me, but the painting with the dog caught my attention

We have a dinner table!

Sort of. It still needs to be picked up, something that will hopefully be done next weekend. It's a farm table, so of course I am super happy. And all of this thanks to my extended family. Now the next step is the obsession about chairs.
The one chair that I went absolutely goo goo ga ga over is this Lucia Chair from the Dining Chair Company with a nice price tag of 401 pounds. I would say that is around $800. For a chair, yes a chair. Will post pics of table when it arrives in its new home.

I'll take one of each

The console and the bench are both from vivavi. Further detail can be seen here
$1790 is not the amount I'm willing to spend for a bench though. So for now I will just look at it's image and drool in my bench less home.

These below were found on Inannone Design's website

This kind of table would do

The styles of tables that I would consider for my home, or which I just find beautiful.

A contemporary version of the picnic table.

Above: So far this one is my favorite. Unfortunately I have no idea where I found the image.

dinner table hunt

I have been hunting for the perfect dinner table, one of which I found on Craigslist. Unfortunately it didn't work out and so the hunting continues.

I'm looking for one that is made of solid wood, rectangular and just in some ways interesting. Warm and even rustic would be good.
